I want to know if being a US citizen, with a socia security number allows credit bureaus to report information on me and make a credit file because I just want to know what law allows them to do this and if there is anything I can do to remove my information from the credit bureaus, or can I control what credit bureau gets what information?
The government has too much control.

I’ve been trying to get my credit reports online through the three credit bureaus but they can’t find me and I think the information is messed up. I at one point typed my name, thinking it may have been spelled incorrectly and something popped up with my parents address but I know it wasn’t them. So, I think some information got completely entered incorrectly. How do I find out where my report is, what errors have been made, if there are mutliple reports, and then fix the errors? Thanks

I moved from my old address a year ago. I’ve changed my address with UPS but for some reason when I apply for credit I am refused, reason given: address not matching the address on file with the credit bureaus. I tried to call the 3 credit bureaus but only got to hear the machines. What do I do?

I recently got a Household Bank credit card in order to help build up my credit score. I have only used the card for small purchases and have paid off the balances for 2 months (the amount of time I’ve had the card) but no payments have shown up on my credit report as of yet. I was under the impression that Household Bank reported to the credit bureaus every month. Does anyone know when the payments might show up?

I heard on CNN Headline News that you can obtain one free credit report per year from each of the 4 major credit bureaus.

Does anyone know the names of each credit bureau, the number to call (or address) and what you need to do to get a copy of your credit report?

Dan

How do I report tenants to credit bureaus?

Hi I’m Karma? U heard I’ asked:

It’s a dizzy circle. I’ve been on all 3 credit bureaus sites to find how to report a tenant on being late on rent payments, but no dice. I’ve even googled it. Any one that has any help, it’d be appreciated.

I had a lender run my credit, they say only 1 credit bureau has a score on me. I don’t have a credit file with the other 2 major credit bureaus. Can someone guide me as to how I get the other credit bureaus to report on me?

My understanding is that the bureaus get it from applications you fill out for credit. What if you haven’t applied for any credit for a few years? How do they keep this information current?

Hi. My wife and I both have terrible credit, and are looking for a credit card with rewards such as cash back or sky miles. We use our visa cards that are tied into our checking accounts so much that it is a waste to not get rewards, but it is hard to get rewards with bad credit. Any advise?
