Also, if they do help you establish credit, how long after getting a pre-paid card should I wait to apply for a real credit card?
ok ok ok…so if they dont help you establish credit….how do I establish credit if i cant get a credit card?
thanks lilise…but I got denied for the capital one “we give this card to anyone” card. I’ve applied for every card under the sun that is offered to people with poor or no credit. I cant get a single one.

What have been your expierences and is it worth it? I have bad credit and recently paid of all my debt and the only thing that is still in good standing and being paid on time every month is my car. I am wanting to rebuild my credit, but i dont really like credit cards and if i apply for somthing like a walmart or gas card, i dont want to risk being denied and t look bad on my credit. So is a pre-paid a good way to do that? If there is somthing that i might have a better chance of getting approved for please let me know..my score is 540 =(
