OK Here’s the situation…… I have a FICO score of 663 according to the purchase of my Equifax credit report on myfico.com….I own a “annual payment visa card with a limit of $750 (increased from original of $250) over the last year and a half and WalMart Credit card with a limit of about the same (increased as well)….. I want to buy an engagement ring for my girlfriend. I have $3,200 in cash and the ring I want is $4700, so I need to finance the last $1,500. My best financial choice would be to get a credit card with a 12 month 0% APR, so I can pay the $1,500 off no problem in 12 months. BUT, I don’t want to apply for some of these cards, (Most are platinum) if it will hurt my credit score if I’m rejected. Will I be accepted? My balance on the other two cards is like $100 total, I’ve paid them off consistently. (never late) but I am improving on past credit problems from like 7 years ago. . Will I get rejected for these 0% Introductory APR cards?

A sphere with radius “a” is lowered at a constant rate into a cylinder with radius “b” containing some amount of water. How fast is the level of the water changing when the sphere is halfway submerged?
I need help with starting the problem. What formulas should I use?

Credit problem?

Igor asked:

I applied for a credit card and they rejected my application. They say that “the profile report does not contain any tradelines that have been open for at least 6 months”. Can anybody please explain to me what does it mean?

Alexis asked:

My credit is not good. It’s bad. I keep getting turned down for apartments in Atlanta. So far I’ve lost $275.00 in application fees trying to get approved at different communities. I do not want to live in dangerous neighborhoods. I am not a criminal and seem like my credit profile is only going to accept me in dangerous areas and I can’t live like that I have a 16mos old daughter. Any suggestions?

Agent Smith asked:

We hear about all the plans to pump more money into the economy by borrowing more money. Whom are we borrowing the money from and if doing business on credit has pushed us into a hole, isn’t it going to push us further down if we try to solve the problem by borrowing more money? Isn’t it like using gasoline to extinguish the fire. Am I missing something? Please somebody enlighten me.

Tomcat6 asked:

I have an extra credit problem for math and I have tried to solve it and cannot get past this one step.

If the sum of two numbers is 1 and the sum of the cubes of the numbers is 3, what is the sum of the squares of the numbers? (fractional answer, no decimals)

So I made two equations.

a+b=1
a^3+b^3=3

I have tried substitution and everything and I cannot get it.
