Two years ago I was with a guy that had money managing problems. He applied for a credit card and without my knowlege added me as a secondary. When the cards came in and he gave me mine I was furious. I called the credit card company to cancel my card and was told that I couldn’t do that because I wasn’t the primary card holder. I told this to my then boyfriend and told him to cancel. Later that day he said it was done.

We split up a few months later and about a year ago I applied for an apartment and was denied. Well turns out he didn’t cancel the card afterall and charged his card and never made payments. Now it’s on my credit and I think it’s $5000. The credit card company won’t even tell me the amount but I had a creditor statement in his name forwarded to my new address a few months later with that amount.

I’ve asked the guy to get me a notarized letter admitting fault which will clear my credit in a few weeks to months but he won’t. What can I do?

I did that when I called the credit card company and I also asked my es about it and he said that the application didn’t ask for a social or even a birthday. When I spoke to the credit card company they said as much. Most application and offers ask you if you want to add a seconday and won’t even ask you for any other information other than the persons name. They don’t have my social or even know how old I am. When I asked how that could be possible they just said “That’s how it works”.

The problem reads:

You have a square birthday cake that is 10″by 10″by 2″ deep. The cake is frosted on the top and sides. You plan to share the cake among five people (including yourself). How can you divide the cake so that each person gets exactly the same amount of frosting?

Please explain your answer. And just so you know my teacher doesn’t consider this cheating as long as I give your brilliance credit, so make sure to leave your name =]

Thanks!

Christina

Can anyone advise me on a credit problem?

brownsugar1961 asked:

I am trying to clean up my credit report. I have some charged off accounts that are still showing on my credit report. I have talked with the collection agencies and they all have agreed to settlement offers but three of them won’t put it in writing first. One company did and I have paid it off. One guy got real nasty and refused my offer. At first he was nice and then he flipped out. What can I do if they won’t except my offer. One offer is to high and I know I can’t afford it. Some of them won’t except monthly payments either. I have a friend that is an attorney. Should I ask him for help? I won’t my credit cleaned up so that my husband and I can refinace our home in about a year so that we can get a better intrest rate and payment. Please help! If this stays on my credit file it will accumulate intrest. My bad credit came from a previous divorce.

Balls are drawn from a bag initially containing three white balls and five black balls. At each drawing two balls are drawn at random. If both drawn balls are the same color they are set aside and the game continues by drawing two more balls from those remaining in the bag. If at any stqge the two drawn balls are of different colors, the game ends. What is the expected number of bqlls drawn during a game? –Please give an explanation of how to get the answer.

I was stupid when I was 19 and never paid my pg&e bill when i was living on my own. I’m now 23 and am going to pay off my bill (which is only $58). Because of this though, I’m assuming my credit is horrible. What is the first step I need to take in order to fix my credit.

Linda A asked:

The gal Bob was married to previously had an operation to help with an obesity problem. The health insurance did not pay so they got a loan and both signed. When they divorced, she said she would pay that bill and this is reflected in the divorce which Bob did himself. Now she has stopped paying and it’s reflecting on Bob’s credit. She has moved to California to avoid having a judgment placed on her and we’re stuck with this negative information on his credit score. All the professionals we’ve consulted tell us the only way out is to pay it ourselves but we really can’t afford to take on this financial burden. I would very much appreciate hearing from anyone who’s been through this or has successfully fought a similar problem.
